Just thought anyone looking in would like to know that 17 episodes of Texas can be viewed in their entirety online from this website: video.aol.com/video-category/texas/1921It appears to be the first 17 episodes aired.

It's great to stumble across this site dedicated to Texas. Equally great was the recent discovery that Procter & Gamble has released the first batch of episodes dating way back to 1980. Two more sites bear checking out. Procter & Gamble has a fun blog dedicated to its current and past shows with a fair bit of Texas material. Blog entries are archived by month starting in September 2006. www.pgpclassicsoaps.com/Lastly, here is the current Wikipedia entry which also makes mention of the episodes available for downloading on the AOL site. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_%28soap_opera%29Thanks for preserving pieces of this very unique show which was pulled from the air just when it was hitting its stride. Every Christmas season, I pull out two VHS tapes that contain episodes from the final two weeks in 1982 aired over the Christmas and New Year's season. I made the acquaintance of a fellow Texas fan a number of years ago, who sent me copies. The show went out with a bang, not a whimper.

I'm enjoying watching the early episodes. The scenes between Carla Borelli and the late Elizabeth Allen are my favorite. Perhaps my viewing pace is too leisurely. It looks like some of the first episodes have been removed. Any news from AOL Video about new postings? They have also reversed the episode order from last to first, making it hard to watch episodes back-to-back. One now has to click on the next episode manually. Otherwise, the player will go back automatically to the previous one. Here are a few new links since my last posting: Wikipedia category listing all the cast who currently have profiles on the site. You may have to type this manually if the whole link is not highlighted: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Texas_cast_membersCast list on the Internet Movie Database site to catch up on what all the actors have been doing since the show ended: www.imdb.com/title/tt0080290/

Are the files free? Or do you need to sign up for something? Texas was my favorite show and I am so glad I have finally found this message board!

Hi Milligan - Great to meet a fellow Texas fan. I posted a note in another thread inviting you to join us on a more active Texas board at: awfan4ever1975.yuku.com/forums/86The AOL Texas episodes are indeed free, in addition to three other Procter & Gamble productions: Another World, Edge of Night and Search for Tomorrow. You'll find some helpful tips on the other Texas board that make for a more friendly viewing experience.
