So glad that I found this board! I loved Texas but my memory is pretty poor (I was only 8 when the show premiered.) Favorite Character/Actor - CB/Reena Bellman Cook Decker Favorite Plot Line - Hmmm, I can't quite remember a specific plot. Favorite Couple - I remember enjoying Reena and Max Favorite Cast addition - I think I loved TJ Canfield for some reason. Least favorite Plotline - I am watching the episodes available on AOL right now and I would have to go with the romance of Dennis and Dawn...Its boring... Favorite emotional tug moment - I remember crying when Max died. It was an explosion, right? Character you would have killed off if you were the writer - Since I'm starting at the beginning on AOL, right now I would say Terri Decker's boyfriend who runs The Top of the World. Question you would pose to Pam Long if you could? Why aren't you writing for daytime anymore? You are sorely needed! Cast member you would most like to interview - Carla Borelli (She was so fabulous.)

Hi Hope - Greetings to a fellow Texas fan. Please join us on a more active Texas board at: awfan4ever1975.yuku.com/forums/86The site where you posted was a terrific initiative, but the web administrator(s) are no longer reachable by e-mail. No new additions have appeared in months, other than the odd posting on this board.

Jerry Lanning as Justin Marshall
Justin & Reena bickering and loving, Lanning and Borelli were terrific.
Ashley returning home for Christmas.
Billy Joe and Anita were cute, but they were not destined to last.
Tie: Kin Shriner as Jeb Hampton (though underused) & David Forsyth as TJ Canfield, Ashley's ex-lover and Justin's friend/adversary
Alex Wheeler being killed off, like Iris, he was the heart and soul of the show.
Allison Linden, Terri Garber was and still is a beautiful actress, but this character was so d**n annoying.
WHY AREN'T YOU IN THE MOVIES? OR AT LEAST WRITING FOR MOVIES OR TV SHOWS? Not mad, just my point. Though now the writers strike makes it a moot point.
Jerry Lanning, he appears to be an interesting person.

Favorite Character/Actor: Alexander Wheeler/Bert Kramer and Iris Cory Wheeler/Beverlee McKinsey
Favorite Plot Line: The courtship of Alex and Iris. They acted like teenagers and it was fun to watch. After that the writers chose to ruin their storylines by having them involved with the trash of the show (i.e. Justin Marshall, Paige Marshall, Ashley Linden and Eliot Carrington).
Favorite Couple: Alex and Iris
Favorite Cast addition: Vivien Gorrow/Gretchen Oehler and Lurleen Harper/Tina Johnson.
Least favorite Plotline(s): They had some really good storylines, but for some reason they couldn’t seem to deliver at the end.
Not letting the REAL Wheelers (Alex, Iris and Dennis) have time to get to know each other without Eliot or Paige in the picture. The whole Alex is Dennis’ father was ruined when Eliot was allowed to continue interfering in Dennis’ life and Alex and Dennis never having the chance to get to know each other and to interact as father and son.
Chris Shaw’s murder. There is no way that the police would have taken Dennis’ word for killing Chris when there was no evidence that he was even there. They would have arrested Paige due to the evidence (i.e. porn film) and who cares if she rotted away in prison it would have been a good way to get her off the show.
Favorite emotional tug moment: When Peter Parnell smothered Alex with the pillow. That scene reminded me of the story of Pandora with a major twist, because this time ‘Hope’ got out. From this time on the show didn’t have a chance to succeed. They’re wasn’t one character or storyline worth watching. No wonder a million viewers left with Beverlee. Instead of going on they should have ended the show like it began with Iris getting on a plane leaving Houston, but instead of the plane turning around the pilot should have made the announcement that he hoped they’d had an enjoyable stay or something like that.
Character(s) you would have killed off if you were the writer: Billy Joe Wright is a character that this show wasted film on from day one and we really didn’t need to meet his Trailer Trash sister.
Justin Marshall was a worthless character from day one to the end. I guess this character was suppose to fit the stereotype of love-to-hate. All he ever succeeded in doing was to be the character you loved to turn off your TV (and now computer) when he came on. He is unbelievable and borrrrring.
Eliot ‘Attempted Mass Murderer’ Carrington. Shouldn’t have been introduced in the first place. There was so many better storylines they could have used for Iris, Dennis and Alex instead of the one they chose and there was definitely no need for him after the attempted murders.
Elena Dekker this was a character that was fun to watch in the beginning, but after they started the singing career storyline and then Joe Foster she was a waste.
Question you would pose to Pam Long if you could? The only question I’d ask Pam is why after finishing off this show she moved over to “The Guiding Light” and ruined that soap.
My questions would be for the TPTB at P&G Productions. I would like to know why they didn’t demand a quality show with good storylines. You are not going to get viewers (al least back than) to watch a show that features the lowlife of the community. They needed a good core family to get this show going and with the exception of Kate the Marshall family does not qualify. They got rid of all the characters that were fun to watch and kept the worthless ones.
Cast member you would most like to interview: The good ones are all dead.
